| OK | 0 | The call was successful. The output argument values are defined. | |
| Warning | 1 | A non-critical problem was detected, but the computation may continue. The output argument values are defined. | |
| Discard | 2 | The call was not successful and the FMU is in the same state as before the call. The output argument values are undefined, but the computation may continue. | |
| Error | 3 | The call failed. The output argument values are undefined and the simulation must not be continued. | |
| Fatal | 4 | The state of all instances of the model is irreparably corrupted. The importer must not call any other function for any instance of the FMU. |
