PacketWriterExtensionsWriteBytes(IPacketWriter, IOffsetDataReader, Int32, Int32) Method

Writes a bytes at the current position in the packet packet. The current position is advanced by the number of bytes written.

Parameters

writer  IPacketWriter
The packet writer.
fromPacket  IOffsetDataReader
The packet to read the data from.
fromPacketOffset  Int32
The offset into fromPacket to read the data.
length  Int32
The number of bytes to write.

Return Value

BufferSegment
A buffer into which data can be overwritten.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type IPacketWriter. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
Remarks
The buffer returned describes the area of the packet written to by this method. This buffer can be used to overwrite that portion of the data in the packet.
